Taman Serom Utama Residents Welfare Body secretary, Mustafa Othman, said some of the ageing trees showed signs of rotting.
He added that the rotting branches of the trees could cause someone's death if nothing is done to remove the potential danger.
"I have never seen someone killed by a falling tree branch, but I also don't want to be the first to see that happening," he said.
"There are strong winds here and something unfortunate could happen at any time."
Mustafa is appealing to the local authorities to quickly address this problem.
It is learnt that rotting trees had also adversely affected houses along Jalan Satria 2A, 2B, 7A and Satria 16 with their roots.
Taman Serom Utama Residents Welfare Body spokesman, Shamsudin Abu Bakar, also said that hanging branches covering street lamps were causing additional difficulty to road users in the area.
