MUAR: The new Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar made his first visit to Muar and Ledang after being proclaimed as the Sultan of Johor.

Sultan Ibrahim, who was accompanied by Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman and other state leaders, performed Friday prayers at Masjid Jamek Sultan Ibrahim here last week.
The ruler arrived at the mosque at about 1pm and spent about 30 minutes meeting and talking with the rakyat after the prayers.

Muar Umno division chairman Datuk Mohd Ismail Mohd Shah said the rakyat here was honoured by Sultan Ibrahim’s decision to visit the district after becoming the Sultan.
