POOR STUDENTS RECEIVE AID FROM LEDANG MP

TANGKAK: Some 55 Indian students and a diabetic patient in the Ledang district received cash aid from Ledang MP Hamim Samuri recently.

The aid was presented by temple chairman K. Govindan.

Govindan said it was the fourth year the poor students and needy people from the Indian community received aid.

Among the recipients were 35 pupils from six Tamil primary schools and 20 students from four secondary schools.

He said besides the cash aid, the temple also presented awards of excellence to 22 students who scored top grades in their UPSR, PMR and SPM examinations last year.
