JUITA DONATES RM1,000 BOOKS TO HOSPITAL

TANGKAK: The Johor State Representative Wives Association (Juita) has donated some RM1,000 worth of children's books to the Tangkak Hospital.

The reading material, mostly story and educational books, were presented by Ledang MP Hamim Samuri's wife Asiah Mohd Nor.

Asiah, accompanied by Tangkak assemblyman Goh Ti Ti's wife Tai Lay Poh and Gambir assemblyman M. Asojan's wife M. Manimala, presented the books to chief nurse Rafeah Dol at the children's ward yesterday.

She said Juita, headed by Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman's wife Datin Paduka Prof Jamilah Ariffin, donated the books under its Juitaku Sayang programme.

This is the third time Juita donated children's books to the hospital.

Some of the books were fiction like Aesop's fables while some were related to geography and history, said Asiah.

She said since it was the Hari Raya season, her husband also decided to give away “duit raya” and food hampers to about 70 patients.
