TANGKAK: The Pagoh educational secretariat had contributed writing kits to more than 2,000 students from seven schools in the Pagoh parliamentary area.

The kits were given to those in Form Three, Form Five and Form Six for use when taking their Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examinations.

Secretariat chairman Tahir Taat said the aid was to encourage the students to answer with confidence all questions in their respective examination papers.

“The Pagoh division has always given importance to education as well as education needs of our school children.

“We want them to excel and enter the universities,” he said at the kit presentation to principals from seven secondary schools at SMK Tengku Temenggung Ahmad in Kudang Ulu here recently.

Tahir, who is also Bukit Serampang assemblyman, added that Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin planned to make Pagoh a top educational hub.

He said several universities would be set up in Pagoh in the next few years and he hoped to see students in the parliamentary area study in them.

He added that students should have the willpower to study, learn new knowledge and excel in schools to enable them to contribute to the nations future needs.

“We also pray for those sitting for their examinations and hope they all score good marks. We want them to remain calm when answering all the questions and to look after their health as sick students will have problems during examinations”, he added.
