TANGKAK: An auxiliary policeman was killed after he was
stung by bees in Ladang Bukit Serampang near Sengkang in Bukit Gambir
here.
Ramdan Harun, 54, who had served as an auxiliary policeman
for over 12 years, was swarmed by the bees while making his round in the
plantation on Sunday morning.
The plantation’s assistant manager
S. Karthagesu said the victim was making the round in the plantation on
a motorcycle when the bees attacked him.
“We believed the bees were from a rubber plantation in Kampung Hang Tuah nearby and had been disturbed by some eagles,” he said.
In
relation to the case, Ledang police chief Supt Harun Idris said
post-mortem report stated that the victim had died of bee sting.
