LEDANG: Some 12 storm victims from Kampung Sawah Ring recently received financial assistance totalling RM37,000.

The money was channelled from the Welfare Department, Johor
Religious Council (MAIJ), Gambir state constituency Subdistricts
Coordinating Committee (JPPMM), Ledang member of parliament Hamim Samuri
and Ledang Umno division’s welfare bureau chairman Datuk Abdul Rahim
Talib, to alleviate their burden.
State Unity, Human Resources, Science, Technology and Innovations
Committee chairman, M. Asojan, who is also Gambir state assemblyman,
presented the financial assistance at Balai Raya Kampung Sawah Ring
here.
Asojan said the allocation would hopefully help those who suffered damage to their properties during the storm on March 21.
He said the government was sensitive towards the welfare of the
people, and would always provide prompt assistance whenever the people
faced disasters.
“It is the government’s responsibility to continuously help the people,” he added.
Kampung Sawah Ring village head, Hussin Muhamed, expressed
appreciation for the financial assistance given out to the villagers. He
said the money would be used to repair the damaged homes. By Hai
