“Others who want low-medium cost homes can choose from those priced at RM50,000 or RM80,000 each,” he said at Kampung Kesang Laut here recently.
Hamim said SPNB planned to build six units of two-storey shops at a price of RM240,406 per unit, and priority would be given to local residents.
He said the scheme, with 282 units of houses and shops, was aimed at providing homes to fishermen and villagers who had no houses in the area.
The scheme was open to all races and SPNB had engaged Bank Islam to provide loans and the law firm Khairin Nissa Salleh for legal transactions, he said.
“We hope fishermen in Kampung Kesang Laut and Kampung Parit Karang will participate in the scheme as we want them to own houses,” he added.
Those interested in purchasing the houses or shops can contact SPNB at Menara Tabung Haji, Jalan Ayer Molek, Johor Baru, or call 07-225 9900.
