Ghani to receive highest award in Johor
JOHOR BARU: Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman heads the honour’s list in conjunction with the birthday celebrations of Johor Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail today.
Abdul Ghani will receive the Pingat Ibrahim Sultan Pangkat Pertama (P.I.S. I).
The second highest honour to be given out this year will be bestowed upon twenty-five others who will receive the Pingat Kerana Lama dan Baik dalam Pekerjaan (P.L.P).
Among those to receive that award are Johor Tourism Action Council general manager A. Jabar Md Tahir, Muar District Officer A. Rahman Jaafar and PERISIND Holdings general manager Mohd Azman Mohd Ali.
Tengku Mahkota of Johor Tengku Ibrahim Ismail’s private secretary Ungku Mohd Zakaria Ungku Abd Rahman will also receive the award.
Apart from that, five military officers from the Johor Military Force will receive the Pingat Kerana Jasa dan Lama Dalam Pekerjaan (P.J.P) award.
Meanwhile, 219 people will receive the Pingat Ibrahim Sultan Pangkat Kedua (P.I.S II), led by Private Mohd Fazli Mohd Rajab.
The sultan will also bestow the Pingat Ibrahim Sultan Pangkat Ketiga (P.I.S. III) award on 19 others, including Mohd Don Md Yunos and Yahya Ibrahim from the Muar district office.
The investiture will be held at the Istana Besar in Johor Baru today.
