Darul Hisham Zakaria, 26, from Tangkak, recently held a party at his home in Kampung Bukit Banjar and his guest was none other than local singing sensation Mawi.
Darul Hisham was the second prize winner of a contest organised by Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd, held in conjunction with the launch of Wall's Fantasia, the latest offering from the company.
The contest, which was launched on June 14, attracted hundreds of entries throughout the nation. It came to a close on Aug 3.
The prize was a home party with the Akademi Fantasia third season winner, who has been appointed by Unilever as the ambassador for Wall's Fantasia.
Darul Hisham, who had submitted six entries, said he did not expect his dream to turn into reality.
"The party turned out to be more than what I had expected. It was truly a memorable day for me, my family and friends," he said.
Darul Hisham said he got to chat with his favourite idol, who is very down-to-earth in spite of his fame.
"Mawi also played games with the party guests and there was a karaoke session where we all sang along with Mawi," he said, adding that he would remember the day for as long as he lived.
Earlier, Mawi kept the crowd entertained at the KIP mart in Tampoi, Johor Baru. He gave away autographed gifts and snapped photographs with fans.
The Wall's Fantasia tour, which started on Aug 1 in Alor Star, will be heading to Kelantan on Aug 23.
