Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman says one million Johoreans own PNB unit trusts |
Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the eight billion made up 10 per cent of the total 80 billion of unit trusts managed by PNB.
"As of now, about one third of three million people in the state are PNB shareholders and we want that number to increase," he said at a PNB community programme in Tangkak recently.
Also present were PNB president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman, Gambir state assemblyman M. Asojan and Tangkak state assemblyman Goh Tee Tee.
Hamad Kama Piah said PNB was not only offering new investments, it was also educating the public on unit trust investments, including their risks, dividends and financing.
