AFIGHT broke out between students at a secondary school in Ledang last Friday, just before the start of the mid-year school holidays.

The 10-minute scuffle left students with cuts and bruises on the face and some also had their spectacles broken.
Parents waiting to fetch their children outside the locked gates of the school could only watch in horror.
The incident occurred when 700 students from the afternoon session were at an assembly at 6.35pm with five teachers in charge while waiting for the final bell to mark the end of the school session.
A 14-year-old student, who did not want to be identified, claimed that two students came up and punched him in the face for no reason, causing his spectacles to break
"The teachers could not do anything because it occurred spontaneously and lasted just a few minutes," he said.
"I asked my other son to look for his brother at 8.30pm, but soon after that, I received a call informing me that my son was at the police station," he said.
Ledang Deputy Superintendent Abu Bakar Isa said 12 students aged between 13 and 14 were arrested.
But they were released under police bail after their statements were taken.
He said five students were brought to the police station from the school and seven more were picked up from their homes.
"A dialogue session between those involved in the incident and their parents was held at the school later that evening," he said.
Abu Bakar said the case was resolved quickly and amicably as the students had apologised to each other and promised not to repeat the incident.
