BOMOH WITH ALIBI FREED

MUAR: A 67-year-old bomoh was freed from a charge of raping a woman in a plantation near here over seven years ago.

The bomoh, Sulaiman Kordi, from Kampung Parit Jarum Darat in Bukit Gambir was acquitted by the Sessions Court as he had an alibi.

Judge Norazlan Ahmad said the prosecution had also failed to prove the case and acquitted Sulaiman, who had been on RM10,000 bail since he was first brought to court.

According to the charge, Sulaiman was accused of raping the woman, then 26, when she sought his treatment in an oil palm plantation at about 8.30pm on June 28.
