THIEVES GRAB RM20,000

TANGKAK: A 40-year-old woman lost RM20,000 she had just withdrawn from a bank in Bukit Gambir to snatch thieves yesterday.
The woman had withdrawn the money about 10.30am and put it in an envelope before placing it in the basket of her motorcycle.

As she stopped at a traffic light junction 20 metres from the bank, two men wearing full-faced helmets on a motorcycle came from behind and grabbed the envelope.

A police spokesman said police believed the thieves had noticed the woman withdrawing the sum from the bank.

The victim lodged a report at the Bukit Gambir station.
"We are now viewing the bank's CCTV recording which we hope will shed some light on the case."
